Installation and care
Installation
Horizontally, the picture fills the wall above sofas, beds and low furniture in a balanced way; vertically, it enhances ceilings and entryways. For a picture of this size, use two mounting points to keep it perfectly level.
Light and placement
Preserved lichens do not need light, so they are also suitable for rooms without windows. Avoid direct sunlight and very hot halogen lamps, which can fade the pigments over time, and keep the picture away from heat sources.
Water
It does not require watering and must never be wet: water dissolves the pigments and irreversibly damages the lichens. If it gets wet accidentally, immediately dab it with absorbent paper without rubbing and leave it to air-dry.
Temperature and humidity
The ideal temperature is between 15 and 25 °C; it tolerates temperatures from 5 to 35 °C. Recommended humidity is between 40% and 70% to preserve the softness of the lichens. Avoid bathrooms with showers, outdoor areas, underfloor heating and daily temperature fluctuations.
Dust
To remove dust, use a hair dryer on the cool-air setting, held 30 cm away, without touching the lichens directly.

Frequently asked questions
What are the dimensions of the lichen picture?
The picture measures 83x63 cm and is available with a black or white frame.
Does the preserved lichen picture require water?
No. The lichens are preserved with vegetable glycerin, which maintains their softness and color without watering; in fact, they must never be wet.
Where can a large lichen picture be hung?
In any indoor environment: living room, bedroom, office, reception area, hotel, restaurant or shop, away from direct sunlight and with humidity of at least 40%.
Can it be hung both vertically and horizontally?
Yes, it is designed for both orientations, and the back has supports for wall mounting on masonry, drywall and wooden walls.
What is the difference between this and the 83x63 cm Vista Bosco picture?
This picture is made exclusively with preserved lichens: the surface is soft, even and uniformly colored. The Vista Bosco picture, on the other hand, combines moss, lichens and wood for a more textured landscape effect.
