Care and cultivation
Position
In areas with a Mediterranean climate, Duranta Repens can stay outdoors during the summer months; the rest of the year, it should be protected from the cold and kept in a bright place away from low temperatures. In colder areas, it is preferable to keep it indoors all year round in a very bright position.
Watering
Duranta does not like waterlogging. Allow the surface layer of the substrate to dry slightly between waterings. It is better to water less but regularly, avoiding excess water that could damage the roots.
Fun fact: a bonsai that attracts life
Duranta Repens is one of the few bonsai trees capable of creating a small ecosystem around itself: its fragrant purple flowers attract butterflies, while its vibrant golden-yellow berries provide nourishment for birds. A bonsai that brings life, movement, and fragrance to any space.
