The set of 4 mixed terrarium plants brings together real young plants chosen to thrive in enclosed, humid environments: fern, fittonia, ivy and asparagus fern. It is designed for anyone who wants to create a new arrangement in their glass container or refresh an existing one, with varieties that complement one another in color, texture and height.

- Fern: delicate, decorative foliage, suitable for closed terrariums.
- Fittonia: colorful leaves with vivid veins; available in red, white or pink.
- Ivy: a climbing plant that adds movement to the arrangement.
- Asparagus fern: a light, airy texture that contrasts with the other leaves.
- Suitable for both closed and open terrariums.
- Set weight: 0.5 kg.
The included young plants may vary depending on availability at the time of ordering: the plants shown in the photos are for illustrative purposes.
How to arrange and care for them
How to arrange them
Place the tallest plants at the back, the climbing plants at the sides, and use the shorter varieties to create depth. The young plants arrive ready to be transplanted into your glass container.
Position and light
Keep the terrarium in a bright room but away from direct sunlight: the glass amplifies heat, and the inner leaves can burn within a few hours. An east- or north-facing window is perfect; a south-facing window is fine if the terrarium is 1-2 meters away.
Humidity and water
Observe the inner walls: if they are misted, the humidity is correct. If the glass is completely dry, add 2-3 sprays of room-temperature water with a mister; if abundant water is running down the sides instead, open the lid (if the container is closed) for 24 hours. Mist the substrate directly with low-limescale water (rainwater, distilled or filtered water), approximately every 14 days in summer and every 30 days in winter, and never water with a stream to prevent water from collecting at the bottom.
Temperature
The ideal temperature is between 18 and 24 °C; avoid temperatures below 10 °C or above 30 °C.
Ventilation and cleaning
If the terrarium is closed, open the lid once every 7-10 days for 30 minutes to refresh the air and prevent mold. Every 2-3 months, remove dry leaves or decomposing parts with long tweezers and clean the inside of the glass with a soft, dry cloth.
Fertilizer and pruning
Regular fertilization is not necessary. If you notice slower growth after 6-12 months, in spring or summer use half the dose of liquid fertilizer for green plants, diluted by an additional half. When a young plant grows too much, prune it or replace it.
