AKADAMA IBARAKI Substrate 2 L small grain

Akadama Ibaraki Substrate – 2-Litre Pack – Fine Grain

The Akadama Ibaraki 2 L fine-grain substrate is one of the most highly regarded soils worldwide for bonsai cultivation. Extracted and selected in Japan, this type of volcanic clay is particularly suitable for ensuring a perfect balance between drainage, water retention and root oxygenation.

The fine grain (1-4 mm) makes it ideal for small bonsai, young plants or recently rooted plants. Akadama’s porous structure promotes the development of a strong root system, preventing waterlogging and improving air circulation in the pot.

This substrate is particularly suitable when combined with other components (such as pumice or kanuma) to create customized mixes according to the species being grown.

 Main features:

• Japanese origin (Ibaraki)

• Fine grain (1-4 mm) perfect for mini and mame bonsai

• Excellent drainage and optimal aeration

• Stable structure over time: compacts very little

• Suitable for all varieties: ficus, maple, pine, elm, zelkova, juniper and others

• 2-litre size, suitable for targeted repotting or use in customized mixes

Perfect for those who want to grow bonsai professionally, this substrate is a guarantee of health and beauty for every specimen.
