How to care for it

• Light: bright, near a sunny window; it also tolerates early morning sun. With too little light, it tends to lose leaves.
• Water: water when the surface layer of the potting soil feels dry to the touch, and empty the saucer after a few minutes: standing water causes root rot.
• Environment: it is sensitive to cold, drafts, and sudden temperature changes; keep it away from radiators and, in winter, from open windows. Frequent moves may cause it to lose leaves.
• Outdoors: in summer, it can be kept outside in a bright, sheltered spot, without direct sun during the hottest hours; bring it indoors before the first cold weather.
• Pruning: shorten new branches that grow too long to maintain the shape of the canopy.

Why choose it

• Large, striking specimen.
• Suitable for entrances, offices, and living rooms.
• Hardy and easy to care for.
