Olive tree D.20 cm in a bowl

The olive tree (Olea europaea) in a bowl is a Mediterranean plant in bonsai form, presented in a bowl with a diameter of 20 cm. It is easy to care for and resistant to drought, suitable for terraces and bright spaces, and also makes a great gift.

Features

• Bowl diameter: 20 cm.
• Form: bonsai.
• Position: outdoors, in a bright location.

How to care for it

• Light: full sun, outdoors. Indoors, there is not enough light and the plant becomes weak.
• Water: the bowl contains little soil, which dries out quickly: check it often and water thoroughly when the surface is dry, allowing excess water to drain away. In summer, more frequent watering is needed; in winter, less frequent watering.
• Soil: well-draining; waterlogging is more harmful than drought.
• Cold: it tolerates moderate cold, but in a bowl the roots are more exposed; during intense or prolonged frosts, move it to a bright place protected from the wind.

Why choose it

• Easy care: it is a hardy plant.
• It also withstands drought.
• A gift idea with Mediterranean character.
