Why choose the 130 cm Dracaena Janet Lind D.24:
At 130 cm tall and with a 24 cm pot, this Dracaena Janet Lind is a large-format plant capable of elegantly filling any space. Unlike other variegated varieties, Janet Lind stands out for its bright, uniform green foliage, with a clean, sophisticated look that pairs perfectly with any interior style. The woody, sturdy trunk, featuring characteristic leaf scars, adds an element of maturity and tropical authenticity. Perfect for living rooms, reception areas, open-plan offices, and any setting that needs a high-impact green accent.
Care and placement:
Position: Bright indirect light or partial shade. Janet Lind is particularly tolerant of low light, making it ideal even for spaces with little natural light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
Watering: Moderate. Allow the top 3-4 cm of substrate to dry out between waterings. Reduce watering further in winter. Prefer rainwater or tap water that has been left to stand for 24 hours, as Dracaena is sensitive to chlorine and fluoride, which can cause the characteristic brown tips on the leaves.
Temperature: Ideal between 18°C and 27°C. Avoid temperatures below 13°C and cold drafts.
Fun fact:
The Janet Lind variety is named after a horticultural selection developed for the indoor plant market. It is appreciated worldwide for its remarkable adaptability and resilience, making it one of the most widely used office plants globally. The name Dracaena derives from the Greek drakaina, “female dragon,” referring to the red “dragon's blood” resin produced by some species in the genus.
