The Golden Dracaena (Dracaena 'Dorado') is an elegant, hardy shrub native to tropical Africa, with long, glossy, bright green leaves, in a 19 cm diameter plastic pot. It is a low-maintenance indoor plant, also suitable for offices, that tolerates lower-light conditions.

How to care for it
Light: prefers bright, indirect light, but also tolerates lower light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can damage the leaves: place it in a bright room, but away from south-facing windows.
Water: water when the soil feels dry to the touch, checking it with a finger: in summer, watering may be needed every 7 days, and in winter every 14 days. Avoid overwatering.
Temperature and humidity: ideal between 18 and 24 °C, with a tolerated minimum of 15 °C and a maximum of 30 °C; moderate humidity, between 40% and 60%. If the air is too dry, use a humidifier or place the pot on a saucer filled with pebbles and water.
Fertilizer: in spring and summer, every 30 days, with a balanced liquid fertilizer.
Soil and repotting: well-drained soil with peat and perlite, with a pH of around 6; repot when the roots emerge from the drainage holes, preferably in spring.
Cleaning: clean the leaves regularly.
