The spiral: when nature meets art:
The Spiral form of the Ficus Exotica is the result of years of Made in Italy craftsmanship: the stems are patiently woven and guided as they grow until they form a harmonious, perfect spiral that develops upward with geometric elegance. This technique, rooted in topiary art and Asian botanical tradition, transforms a tree into a living sculptural work of art. At 270 cm tall, the spiral trunk creates a visual effect of upward movement that draws the eye and invites you to follow its path to the lush canopy that crowns it.
How the Spiral form differs from the Standard:
Compared with the standard-form Ficus Exotica, the Spiral version offers:
-
Greater decorative impact - the spiral captures attention and becomes the focal point of the space
-
A unique design element - the sculptural form blends perfectly with contemporary designer interiors
-
A sense of movement and dynamism - the ascending spiral brings energy and vitality to the space
-
A guaranteed conversation piece - every guest will notice and comment on this extraordinary plant
Air purification:
Ficus benjamina is one of the most effective natural air purifiers, included in the famous NASA study. It effectively removes formaldehyde, benzene, trichloroethylene and ammonia from indoor environments. A 270 cm specimen with a 69 cm pot provides exceptional leaf surface area for effective purification of large spaces.

Care and placement:
Placement: Indoor space with adequate ceiling height (a minimum of 3.5-4 metres is recommended) and abundant natural light. Ideal near large windows or skylights. The Ficus Exotica is sensitive to relocation: once the ideal position has been found, avoid moving it to prevent leaf drop.
Watering: Regular and consistent. Avoid both waterlogging and prolonged drought. Water should be at room temperature. For a specimen of this size, a structured irrigation system is recommended.
Humidity: The Ficus Exotica thrives in humidity. In rooms with air conditioning or central heating, mist the leaves regularly or place humidifiers nearby.
Maintenance: Periodic professional maintenance for pruning to maintain the canopy and spiral form, plant health checks and fertilisation. Contact us for a dedicated maintenance plan.
Delivery and installation:
Given the exceptional nature of this specimen - 270 cm tall with a 69 cm pot - delivery and installation require dedicated planning with specialised equipment and personnel. Our team is available for preliminary site inspections and complete coordination. Contact us for a personalised quotation.
Interesting fact:
The spiral is one of nature's oldest and most fascinating geometric forms: from the snail to DNA, from galaxies to the nautilus, the spiral is everywhere in nature. In art and architecture, the spiral symbolises growth, evolution and perfection. The Ficus Exotica Spiral brings this universal symbol into indoor horticulture, creating an object that is simultaneously nature, art and philosophy. Ficus benjamina is Thailand's national tree, where it is considered a symbol of prosperity and longevity.
